OXFORD GOLDENS PET CONTRACT

The purpose of this contract is to place a healthy puppy with a deserving family and to put agreements in place to insure the satisfaction and well being of the new puppy owner, the breeder, and the puppy.

·        The breeder has the right to refuse sale of a puppy at any time for any reason to any one.
·        The breeder guarantees that the above dog is a purebred and is registered with the AKC.
·        The breeder does not guarantee adult size, color, hair coat, fertility, temperament or trainability, confirmation, or show capability of puppy.  We have carefully chosen our breeding stock, and the traits of the parents of the puppy to provide optimal puppy quality and to provide the buyer with a wonderful pet companion; however, we cannot anticipate the expressions of Mother Nature.
·        Deposits are 1/2 of the purchase price and can be paid by personal check.  Final payment is by cash or money order.
·        Puppies will be transferred to the Buyer when they are 8 weeks old. Time and place to be agreed upon by both parties. This decision can be influenced by the size of the puppy and readiness to go to a new home which is determined by the Breeder.  If puppy is to be flown to the Buyer, there is a $250.00 fee.  Details are individually determined.
·        All puppies will have been examined by our vet to insure that they are in good health at the time of purchase. Puppies are wormed and vaccinated in accordance to its age.  A health record will be provided. Once the puppy has transferred homes and has been fully paid for, the maintenance of all vaccinations, worming, and heartworm prevention are the responsibility of the buyer.  Neglect of these responsibilities voids your health guarantee.
·        All puppies come with five-day health warrantee and a 1-year guarantee against life threatening hereditary disease.  To honor our guarantee of a healthy puppy, the new owner should have a vet examine the puppy within five days from the time the puppy has been transferred to the Buyer. Failing to do so will void your health guarantee.  Breeder is under no obligation to honor the warrantee/guarantee if a vet does not examine the puppy during this stated time.
·        This health guarantee does not include infectious disease, hypoglycemia, worms, Kennel cough, Guardia or Coccidia all of which are common occurrences and can be brought on by the stress of shipping or changing environments and are common in puppies. Retained testicles and hernias are also excluded from this guarantee.  If the Buyer elects to spay or neuter their pet, all of which are recommended by the Breeder, any expense or problems which are incurred are the responsibility of the Buyer.
·        If the puppy is found by a licensed vet to have a life threatening congenital health defect, the Buyer must contact the breeder with a written assessment and contact information from the vet. The puppy may then be returned to the Breeder (at the Buyer's expense) in exchange for another puppy of the same value or keep the puppy and all expenses that are incurred with it. No cash refunds for any reason.
·        The Breeder does not assume any liability for any injury or neglect of the puppy after delivery.  No replacement will be provided for a deceased puppy until an autopsy is performed by an accredited institution to determine the cause of death. The Buyer assumes cost of autopsy.
·        Breeder is also not responsible for any expenses (veterinary, travel, shipping or otherwise) incurred by the buyer.
·        If at any time the Buyer cannot take proper care of or find a suitable home for the puppy, the Buyer agrees to contact the Breeder.  With no questions asked, the Breeder agrees to accept the puppy without refund to the Buyer and assume responsibility for finding the animal another home.  Under no circumstances will the animal ever be abandoned or placed in an animal shelter.

Please be very sure that purchasing and raising a puppy is something you have thought long and hard about and are totally committed to because your puppy will never be able to care for itself. Your new pet will be totally dependent on you for its food, shelter, medical care, and attention for up to the next 15 years. You will be responsible for its care for the rest of its life.  It is a big decision. If you agree to the conditions of this contract, please sign and provide the requested information below.  Please note that this is a legally binding contract.
